Power Yoga

 

$60 per 4 week session

Class Description

 

This hour long vinyasa based class is designed to engage your whole body to build strength, and length to tend to your daily needs and goals. We will focus on core, shoulder, and leg strengthening as well as deep hip openers. Be ready to sweat, but also to relax. We will be Using the breath and settle into postures for longer holds, and relieve the body of tension that is being held. If you are new to yoga, or relatively new don’t worry! Blocks, straps, and modifications will all be offered so you can build YOUR practice at YOUR rate.

Marisa will give multiple options for each posture to ensure you get the most out of your time on the mat.  No matter what your overall goals are, this class is designed with you in mind.

We will end class with savasana or meditation to help both the mind and body refocus so you are prepared for whatever life throws at you!

 

All new students need to fill out the adult registration form.

 

What to bring to class? Yoga mat, towel, water bottle. What to wear? Yoga pants/leggings, tank tops, bare feet or socks

Vinyasa Flow Yoga

 

$75 per 6 week session

Class Description

Vinyasa flow yoga is all about breath, energy, and learning about our bodies and what they’re trying to tell us. Marisa will lead the group through guided meditation, allowing you to bring an intention into mind, and clear out all of that inner dialogue we all carry around with us, and segue into a flowing sequence of movement that will help to both strengthen, and restore the body, so it’s ready for whatever life throws our way! You will learn about engaging the core, keeping the spine safe, and what it means to use the breath as a guide for movement. Flexibility, balance, and grace are three points that Marisa (being a former dancer and musical theater performer) focuses on, to help you get the most out of practice. The class will end with an extended meditation to reach ultimate relaxation, and peace.

This is a 6 week session.

Barre Fusion-

 

 

$70 per 6 week session

Class Description

 

In this 60 minute class you will incorporate dance movement paired with the use of the ballet barre to create repetitive Ballet exercises to give you a full body workout. Floor work incorporates toning and stretching exercises to focus on your core and lengthening and strengthening your muscles. What to bring to class? Yoga mat, towel, water bottle. What to wear? Yoga pants/leggings, tank tops, bare feet or socks. Clean rubber soled sneakers are okay on dance floors.

This is a 6 week session.

Adult Tap

($65 per 6 week session)

 

This class requires NO TAP EXPERIENCE. Tap shoes are required. You can purchase Tap shoes from Dance Exchange in Wilmington or Sansha Warehouse in Leland. Please NO TARGET TAP SHOES as they tear up our dance floors.

 

Tap dance uses the feet to create musical, percussive rhythms incorporating a variety of sounds and tempos which teach musicality, coordination, and rhythm. This 45 minute class will consist of center and across floor combinations done to music to provide a full body cardio workout while learning the art of Tap dance.

 

 

Dance Fusion

 

Class Description

 

NO CURRENT CLASSES AT THIS TIME DUE TO LOW ENROLLMENT. WE NEED 6 INTERESTED TO START CLASS

 

Dance Fusion incorporates dance, cardio exercises, toning and stretching for the first 30 minutes which utilizes your entire body and the last 30 minutes you will learn a fun dance routine which we will add on to each week! At the beginning of each 6-week session, new routine will be learned giving you a wide variety of dance styles and movements throughout the year.
